Since May this year, Jiangsu Province has launched a 100 day campaign to improve the safety and environmental protection of the chemical industry, established a provincial inspection team to evaluate and demonstrate the implementation of “one park, one policy” and “one enterprise, one policy” for chemical parks and chemical production enterprises, and made every effort to promote the renovation and transformation of the chemical industry, striving to reduce the number of chemical production enterprises in the province to 2000 by the end of 2020; By 2022, the number of chemical production enterprises in the province will not exceed 1000.
On July 9, accompanied by relevant leaders of Wuxi and Yixing governments, the provincial inspection team visited Yuxing to inspect the specific implementation of “one enterprise and one policy” of Yuxing.
At the meeting, Mr. Shan Miao, the general manager, introduced the basic information of the company to leaders and experts. Yuxing was founded in 1977. After more than 40 years of development, it has become the largest iron oxide pigment production plant in China and the top three in the world. In terms of safety, the concept of circular economy is adopted. The “Yuxing method” production process does not involve hazardous chemical processes under key national supervision, and the raw materials used do not involve hazardous chemicals under key supervision. The production area does not constitute a major hazard source of hazardous chemicals. In general, Yuxing meets the conditions for safe production. In terms of environmental protection, Yuxing relies on the technology of Tsinghua University and other advanced equipment to deal with the waste gas, waste water and other pollutants generated in the production process. Yuxing has taken the lead in achieving the enterprise safety and environmental protection standards in the same industry, setting a benchmark for the national iron oxide industry. At the same time, it has continuously explored new technologies for energy conservation and emission reduction, and has been selected as the industry energy efficiency leader by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation for many consecutive years. After listening to the report, the inspection team carefully inspected the daily operation and maintenance account, safety and environmental protection system, production process and operation process and relevant emergency treatment measures.
In the production area, the inspection team inspected the operation of the production process, workshop, equipment and pollution prevention facilities, and put forward rectification suggestions for the problems found.
